I am really greatfull to users that can appriciate our passion and dedication in designing the unit.
Many thanks you for all the nice remarks. Personally I admire your courage in investing 2000Euro in a brand without history.
The only way to payback from my side is to improve the software and make the product as flexible as possible.

I agree with you that the sound is the only thing that really counts. Nevertheless I understand the curiosity of forum members in asking technical questions. I would do the same. This is the reason why I take my time to answare them in details and try to convince the odience that "WOODOO" and PedalPro are two different things.

When I started this project I always asked myself why nobody did it before ?
Well, now I know the answare. If you want to make money you would not go for it. PedalPro is too difficult, too expensive, too different, and long time development.
I am pretty sure that other skilled engenieers+musicians around could have obtained the same result.


Anyway yestarday I got from an amazing rock player Joop Wolters a little video gift.
This should clear any doubts if PedalPro is sutable for Rock stile.

Klopt, maar vorig jaar (of is het alweer langer geleden?) bij de introductie werd er veelal nog wat laatdunkend gereageerd, ook vanwege het afwijkende, wat nerdy uiterlijk. Nu, een jaar later is de houding geheel veranderd en wordt het ding de hemel in geprezen. Hoewel ik vorige week een testreview van een bekende Duitse gitarist/producer las die toch nogal wat vraagtekens bij de claims van Kemper zet qua 100% natuurgetrouwheid. De Kemper heeft wel als voordeel dat vrij snel een aantal bekende gitaristen en producers zich achter het product schaarden, ook op YouTube. Je zag onlangs zelfs dat de lui bij Fractal Audio ook al nieuwe profiling-achtige features introduceerden voor de Axe FX 2 (of zo werd het tenminste gebracht).

Als je tegenwoordig een aantal sleutelfiguren op YouTube mee krijgt ben je in staat om vanuit het niets snel vrij groot te worden, lijkt het. Dat zou in het geval van de VR PP ook mooi zijn natuurlijk. Ik zie wel parallellen met de Kemper: een wat afwijkend uiterlijk en een nieuw concept. En dan moet je in gitaristenland toch even door dat conservatisme heen. Laatst was ik nog in een vrij grote muziekzaak waar men de Kemper wel wilde bestellen maar er niks in zag om het ding op voorraad te hebben omdat "het toch niet zou aanslaan"...

Kijk maar uit, voor je het weet komen Line 6 en consorten met producten die van jullie spul zijn afgeleid

leuk, interessant. Er is dus toch wel wat markt in deze prijsklasse. Als je tenminste met een vernieuwend en hoogwaardig product komt.
Wat betreft youtube: Ik geloof dat er nu een PedalPro op weg is naar Pete Thorn. Ben benieuwd of hij een filmpje wil maken.
Michael Landau sprak ik gisteren en die was niet echt enthousiast te krijgen voor een endorsement. Hij is gelukkig met z'n huidige setup...

Voor eventuele afgeleide producten is VR niet bang, ik geloof dat de beslissende technische principes gepatenteerd zijn of worden. Anderzijds zou het natuurlijk wel een groot compliment zijn, maar ik denk dat bv Line 6 voorlopig voor digitaal blijven kiezen.

I would like to start a new thread on the VirtualBoard software design and the Pedalino firmware upgrades.
In this way my ideas can be merged with your suggestions to make the virtual board more flexible and with a better user interface.
Let me know what you think about it.

Hi Max, how about a wah/vol overrule function for the expression pedal?
First you will need a bypass/active mode for the pedal. How? Physical switch? Pedal position?

If that problem is solved:

#When a patch has a wah programmed:
-in bypass mode the exp pedal controls any other parameter as programmed.
-in active mode the wah overrules that programmed parameter function.

#If a patch has no wah programmed:
-in bypass mode you control any parameter.
-in active mode the vol pedal function overrules the other parameter.

Btw, are the pads going to be pressure sensitive in VB mode, just like in normal mode? maybe it's an idea to give the user the choice between pressure/non pressure? Sometimes 'in the heat of the moment' you might not have the perfect control over your foot, nor the opportunity to look at the pedalino leds (for instance playing during live recording while reading music and keeping an eye on the conductor).

Peter, 't is net een virus en het werkt heel erg aanstekelijk maar dan op een positieve manier. Ik heb hem net nog even een uurtje geprobeerd en 'never have been happier with my sound'. Puur en terug naar de essentie. Maar ik begrijp dat jij inmiddels ook al een beetje warm begint te lopen? Leuk want dan gaan we natuurlijk een clubje oprichten ;-)

Maar ik begrijp dat jij inmiddels ook al een beetje warm begint te lopen? Leuk want dan gaan we natuurlijk een clubje oprichten ;-)

Ik liep natuurlijk al warm vanaf de meeting op oa jouw mooie veranda Theo. De puurheid en kwaliteit van de sound die ik hoorde was eigenlijk best ongekend als je het mij vraagt en spookt sindsdien nog steeds door mijn hoofd. Haha, doorgaans betekent dat laatste toch wel min of meer -vooral meer dus- wannahave...

Maar zoals ik toen ook al zei, ben ik nog in afwachting van mijn pedalen die door Barend -D_H- in een ander jasje worden gegoten en ga ik daar eerst nog mee aan de slag, al was het alleen om dat idee eerst fatsoenlijk af te ronden.

Verder kan ik dan ook mooi de ontwikkeling van het VB bekijken. Maar eigenlijk hoop ik stiekem wel snel lid van de club te worden geloof ik...
