Maar.......kijk eens naar de "guts" van een Marshall Jcm2000 of van een Engl RB....vergelijk die met de "guts" van een Matchless of TopHat en je begrijpt meteen waar het prijsverschil vandaan komt.

Boutique of Boetiek of whatever.....kwaliteit is kwaliteit. Je betaalt wat meer voor arbeidsintensiefwerk en betere parts, of het beter klinkt mag je zelf bepalen, je beurs bepaalt mee.


Vroeger was alles beter, toen was boetiek nog heel gewoon en de prijs ook.

Ik denk dat amps onder de noemer artificial boutique vallen.

Ik moet zeggen dat de marshall nog al oost-blok afsteekt tegen de rivera en de mesa.
Waar de rivera een mooie Italiaanse villa is is de marshall een flat in een Russische buitenwijk.

Maar je heb werkelijk zolangzamerhand wel een super collectie, jaloers ?

Oprechte vraag en geen aanval. Wat moet je met zoveel amps als je niet of nauwelijks optreed? Ik snap je verzamelwoede wel, maar veel amps komen pas lekker uit de verf als je écht op bandvolume kan blazen. Thuis speel ik zelf over een simpele HT5, om te oefenen en nieuw spul te schrijven. Het knallen doe ik dan met de band over m'n 50watter en 4x12". Ik zou niet weten wat ik thuis moest met m'n stack of zwaardere combo... Vooral vanwege dat klankverschil op kamervolume of bandvolume...

Dus een Marshall doet je aan een Oostblok flat denken....

Marshall doet me denken een pure R&R, rebelie, vrijheid, sex, drugs, en ga zo maar door. Alles wat het oostblok juist niet is. Die rivera amp zal dan wel heel erg boetiekerig en duur zijn en speciaal maar dat is allemaal bedacht door fashionvictims met te veel geld die zich zelf nogal geweldig vinden.

Dan nog liever een fender amp met z'n karakterestieke geluid.

ENGL zou dan nog eerder op Oostblok lijken.

je vind marshall en engl neem ik aan minder guts hebben dan matchless en tophat.
Ik heb nooit zelf een matchless uit mogen proberen maar heb hem gehoord op de pedal meeting en moet zeggen dat ik hem redelijk vond tegenvallen gezien de ophemeling hier op dit forum. Maar dat zal misschien ook verschillen per muziekstijl.
Ik vind mijn blackmore beter klinken en ook de aanwezige marshall jmp van harolda klonk vetter dan de matchless.
