When it comes to upgrading firmware, I think PC software is a must. Most people I know use a PC.

For parameter editing software it would be a nice gadget if you could do that via iPad, but because the menu structure in the PedalPro is clear to me, it isn't too hard to navigate through the pages to find the different settings. So for me, editing software is a nice to have, editing possibilities on iPad even nicer to have, but in both cases it isn't a show stopper at all if it isn't there.
