Voor een wedstrijd georganiseerd door de Guitar Academy, ik ga het nu niet vertalen...
An older original, reworked with some new parts. A bit of country shred from my country shed!
The first country guitar playing that caught my ear probably was as background music with the dukes of Hazzard. Then at one time I visited a guitar tech named Arie de Voght, who turned out to be quite the country player! Very good indeed. He played some cool open string runs. I started working some of that stuff out when I got into Tommy Emmanuel's music. This tune was also inspired by Gareth Pearson's reworking of Merle Travis's Blue Smoke. Still not as fast as Gareth, but considerably faster than my previous version, and with some new cool riffs!
So, under the influence of Tommy, Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, and Gareth Pearson, this is my entry for the Fingerstyle Academy Awards 2016. I hope you enjoy this one!
