"If a valve rectifier is used then avoid the situation shown on the right! Valve rectifiers DO NOT like standby switches. If you allow the rectifier to warm up first, and then throw the switch, the massive inrush to the reservoir capacitor can lead to flashover in the valve. This is a known problem with the first Vox AC30 reissue, which had a standby switch added for no particular reason.
If you still want a standby switch and a valve rectifier, then the switch should be placed after the reservoir capacitor, so the cap can still charge up as the valve warms up."

Jaaaa.. maar die man is WIZARD!

Daar zit wat in maar wij gebruiken al jaren dezelfde toverspreuken en worden stelselmatig vanuit alle windstreken tegen gesproken want die verkoper had er verstand van zei hij......en waarom zit die switch er dan op........en Leo zal het toch wel weten....Right. Die willen gewoon buizen verkopen terwijl wij bereid zijn onze eigen glazen in te gooien. Ik gooi het bijltje er bij neer.
Altijd standby gebruiken dus en als die er niet opzit, zo snel mogelijk laten installeren.
