kan je het niet via internet volgen?
Iemand bij Kerrang heeft de eer gehad Death Magnetic al te mogen beluisteren. Hier een korte review:
"Speaking of riffs, Death Magnetic has more of them per square minute than any album in recent memory. It is difficult to make proper sense or judgment about an album almost 80 minutes in length, and which has only been heard once. But even on a first listen, parts of Death Magnetic are astounding, exciting , creative and original. The guitar partnering of Hetfield and Hammett on (notably) Broken, Beat and Scarred and first single The Day That Never Comes is outrageous; the speed of opening track That Was Just Your Life and closing song My Apocalypse proves again just how devastating Metallica are when they excersice the option of assault and battery. Elsewhere, The Unforgiven III and the instrumental Suicide & Redemption - the former beginning like a ballet score, the latter feeding and growling with a terrible menace - display to dizzying effect the dexterity and talent this band has at its disposable"
Ik ging dat ding toch al kopen, maar dit is wel een extra boost :P
Metallica weet wel waar men mee bezig is, marketingsgewijs. Al die maanden al al die heisa rond hun nieuwe album. Ze pakken er zelf overal mee uit, al maanden, geven al maanden clues weg enzo...
Ik verwijt het hen niet hoor :)
Ik kijk alvast erg hard uit naar de nieuwe schijf!
Met al dat spanning opbouwen, kan het album alleen maar tegenvallen. Ik denk dat je nu zo'n beetje wel alle gave riffs gehoord hebt (laten we het niet hopen trouwens).
Ik download hem wel, en als het een goed album is koop ik hem ook. Ben wel echt rete benieuwd.
