roller nut

Kan iemand mij vertellen of een roller nut ook effect heeft met een 2-punts Fender tremolo? En/of waar deze nuts in de regio Rotterdam te koop zijn?

"When you bend notes or use the Vibrato bridge the strings must be able to slide freely through the 6 little grooves in the nut. If there is any friction in those grooves then there is a strong likelihood they won't return to the correct pitch when you have finished the bend or Vibrato. Same applies to the String guide (or string tree). The properties of the material itself is the primary cause but tight grooves can also contribute to the problem. Also, the modern roller and ball bearing nuts are just as troublesome as the old plastic (bone) ones. The rollers or balls seize and stop rolling causing string drag."

M.a.w. koop geen roller nut. Als je een topkam wilt zonder frictie, kijk dan eens naar Graphtech of naar Tusq. Let op: als je een string guide hebt, moet je die ook vervangen door een graphtec exemplaar.

De LSR is een dikke aanrader! ik heb ook graphtec, maar de LSR blijft beter in tune. de combinatie locking tuner/lsr/floating trems is ideaal!

oh en als je geen tree wilt, neem dan staggered tuners.. dan is het niet meer nodig.

Wel ff uitkijken als je er 1 wilt gaan gebruiken. Volgens mij zijn ze alleen verkrijgbaar voor 9,5-10" radius.

De ouwe Wilkinson roller nut op mijn 89 Strat+ werkt uitstekend!
