What’s in a name: “Rocka-T-Bones”: a contraction of good old ‘Rockabilly’ and ‘T-bone’ – hot rod built on a Model T Ford chassis. Actually we thought it just sounded good and right for that pure, rough and greasy rockabilly sound & image we had in mind. This is a rockabilly trio in the pure meaning of the word: NO drums, just a lot of energetic slap beat from Selim Meiresonne (ex-Wildcats and current double bass player with Smokey Midnight Gang and Boogie Phil). Just add some jazzy, sometimes raw guitar licks from Tom De Poorter (ex- Calicoba) and finally to keep the train rollin’: rhythm guitar and vocals by Filip Zegers (ex-Wildcats, ex-Sons of Vernon - featuring the infamous 'Elvis' on double bass)… The band originated somewhere in February 2006 in Oosteeklo (or should we say 'East-Tupelo'), Belgium…
