Ik ben 'm nu voor de eerste keer helemaal aan het beluisteren,
en ik ben van mening dat dit echt een goed album is!

Na de wat teleurstellende By the way uit 2002
klinkt deze dubbelaar heerlijk fris en geinspireerd.

Geweldig gitaarspel van Frusciante!
en Flea doet lekker mee :-) (of andersom)

De ene peppersfan houd meer Mother's Milk & Blood Sugar Sex Magik,
de andere kan Californication meer waaderen,
deze plaat gaat misschien beide kanten wel wat op, maar
ik denk dat de peppers hedendaags klinken zoals ze
het zelf graag willen. Oordeel zelf!

But, equitable business reasons aside, the thing that really bums me out is we worked so hard, and so thoughtfully, all of us, for so long to make this record sound as warm and full from top to bottom as was possible. We spent day and night for a year making sure every little sound was just right. That they were all put together in the most beautiful way we could, we did not leave a stone unturned in doing that work.

I cannot put in words how much this record, Stadium Arcadium, means to us. How sacred the sound of it is to us and how many sleepless nights and hardworking days we all had thinking about how to make it be the best sounding thing we could.

And now, for someone to take it and put it out there with this poor sound quality, it is a painful pill for us to swallow.

Let me tell you, this bums all of us out and I know that, as sensitive as John Frusciante is about sound, the idea of anyone getting and hearing this thing that way will devastate him. For people to not hear the work the way we meant it to be will really hurt him deep inside and all of us will hurt.

Yes, it is stealing from us, and that is lame. Everyone has to live with their own conscience on that one. Let it be your guide. But to take a version that has been defiled sound wise a version in which some idiot has taken our year and a half of soul baring work and pissed all over it, that will break our hearts.

Whahaha, is dit humor of is dit serieus? Elke artiest die zoiets zegt is echt vreselijk naief. Komt bij, de echte Peppers fans, waaronder ik, gaan echt wel het echte album kopen. Temeer omdat het geluid van mijn kopie inderdaad ronduit kut is. Maar ja, als je nie langer kan wachten moet je toch wat

mijn geluidskwaliteit is prima, dus ik trap frusciante zeker niet op zijn tere hartje wat betreft geluid :)

en ook ik ga natuurlijk het album kopen... trouwens, die Flea is toch al meer dan rijk zat? Ik dacht dat men muzikant werd omdat hij graag zijn kunsten wilde vertonen, niet om zijn zakken te vullen. Als ze nou een beginnend bandje waren dan zou ik begrijpen dat ze zouden zeiken, maar dit vind ik wel enigszins triest aandoen.

Ik weet niet wanneer ik voor het laast een originele cd gekocht heb, maar dat is minimaal al 5 jaar terug, en heb bijna alles van de peppers en nog vele andere band o.a. vanuit de top veertig.. Als ze de prijs laten zakken van een cd, ben ik wellicht bereid voor een cd te betalen..

Dapper dat je je zo wilt uitdrukken, aangezien je hiermee vele STUDENTEN (anders dan scholieren) keihard onderuit haalt.

het gaat mij om het gemak waarmee gezegd wordt dat er geen geld aan cd's wordt uitgegeven, terwijl dat de broodwinning is van die artiesten. En zeker als je studeert lijkt 15 euro voor een cd me echt niet teveel. Dat is een half uur niet drinken bij het uitgaan, of een dagje niet sms'en met je veel te dure telefoon.

Haha dat sms'en ben ik volledig met je eens. ikzelf heb een prepaid, die altijd geldig blijft, perfect voor mij! Bellen is duur en komt mij vaak slecht uit.
Ligt eraan waar je prioriteiten liggen. En voor een student is 15 euro wel 2 tot 3 uur werken, vind ik wel erg veel, zeker als je spaart voor je nieuwe gitaar of op de universiteit zit.

Ik vind heel veel cd's niet het geld waard. Daarbij luister ik veel naar metal, en daar zit heel veel stront tussen. Ik moet dus echt selecteren, en download ik gewoon alles. Tevens ben ik (veel) eerder geneigd een cd te kopen van een underground artiest dan van een wereldband, om de prijs en om de support. Op dit moment is Iron Maiden voor mij de enige wereldband waar ik de cd als eerste van wil vasthouden. Wat dat betreft, tegenwoordig ben ik wat voorzichtiger met Metallica en Slayer...

Ik ben het helemaal eens met Harry, 15 euro is echt niet veel voor een dubbelalbum dat pas net is uitgekomen. En lopen pochen dat je al 5 jaar geen cd meer hebt gekocht maar alles download wat los en vast zit is gewoon....triest.
