The story of Dutch Frysk Viking Gypsy Teye reads like a novel:
"Ran away from home to become a musician in pop-mecca London; Learned in Spain the basics of Flamenco; Constructed and sold pocket-sized guitar amps; Won 'best guitarist' in the Dutch SPN; Graduated 'cum laude' from the Conservatory of Music; Searched out the old Gypsy guitar masters in small towns in the hills of Spain; Met the woman of his dreams in Sevilla, married her, and started a Flamenco group together..."
In Spain they call him “El Gitano Punky” (“the punk Gypsy”). In the US: “Austin's Paco de Lucia”.
This is the story of Teye & Viva el Flamenco.
