Concept
The Filth Munster consists of a number of guitar effect circuits in a 1U 19" rackmount case, controlled by digital potentiometers and chained by CMOS analog switches. The core of the FM device is the MIDIbox Hardware Platform (MBHP) and the MIDIbox Operating System (MIOS) by mister Thorsten Klose. This makes all parameters controllable via MIDI. Effect configurations can be stored in internal banks, selectable by a footswitch.
Effects
The choice of effects was inspired by the sound of guitarists like Dave Evans, Billy Corgan, Jonny Greenwood, Thurston Moore, Lee Ronaldo, Neil Young, Joey Santiago, John Frusciante, George Harrison, Kevin Shields, Johnny Marr... the heroes of Captain Hastings.
