Aangezien het echt komkommertijd is hier wil ik wat leven in de brouwerij brengen. Om te beginnen: wat is je favoriete pedaal en waarom ?

Mijn EHX Deluxe Memory man (tot irritatie van mijn bandmakkers af en toe :roll:)

En waarom, omdat ik gek ben van zijn sound en uberhaupt delays geweldig vindt. Vooral een beetje spacey, weirde sounds creeeren vind ik geweldig en dan ook nog zo dat ik het gewoon in een nummer kan toepassen.

Lastig. Ik denk dat het momenteel m'n Vox V847 wah pedaal is. Die vind ik sinds ik de vocal en tb/volume mods heb gedaan toch wel heel erg lekker klinken.

Maar waarschijnlijk is het volgende week weer iets anders :-D

Het is niet mijn meest gebruikte effect, maar wel degene met het breedste inzetgebied. In de donkerste setting met Fuzz voluit heeft -ie een vreselijk vieze distortion, één tandje minder en het is een goeie fuzz face en nog een tandje minder en het hangt tussen overdrive en fuzz in.
Eén van de drie pedalen waar ik verschillende settings gebruik voor verschillende nummers.

Ik heb wel meerdere favorite pedalen, maar mijn top-3:

Ook ik ben gecharmeerd van de J. Everman Fuzz. Eeuwige dank aan Sash om mij op dat pedaal te wijzen. Zo'n fucking veelzijdig overdrive pedaal. Echt een goed pedaal!

Tweede is de Carl Martin DeLayla. Gewoon een hele goede, heldere delay, tot 500 ms of in die buurt.

De derde is moeilijker, zoveel uit te kiezen, maar ik ga weer voor een overdrive. Close call tussen de Keeley BD-2 en Ibanez Overdrive II, maar mijn stem gaat toch naar de BD-2.
Die heb ik nu ingesteld als overdrive, met een heel klein vies randje. Qua tone niet anders dan de gitaar ook clean klinkt, dus geen extra treble of bass.

Het viel me laatst bij sah wel weer op hoe dat ding ruist. Hij geeft dan wel een lekkere boost, maar ook van noise.
Mooi ding echter als je van subtiele pedalen houdt. Hij is mij niet echt vies genoeg. Maar ja, daarom bestaan er tegenwoordig ook 3526 fuzz pedalen :D

red snapper, met de drive minimaal open en de volume knop helemaal open. Geeft zo de eindbuizen van mn jcm800 wat meer op hun donder. Eigenlijk het geluid van mijn versterker, maar dan met meer gain. Dit klinkt erg goed en hij staat dan ook eigenlijk altijd aan. Als ik wat meer clean wil regel ik dat met mijn volume knop.. keepin thing simple ya know :lol: Btw nog een pikant detail, ik heb die 9v batterij in de snapper nog nooit verwisseld :o Terwijl ik hem al weer redelijk wat maanden heb.

Did Worldlingo do a proper job here ? Comes down to this baby being my most versatile dirtbag. Use it with input cap 1, 2 and 3 to use it (respectively) as a dark 'n dirty distortion, a good Fuzz Face or a mild, OD-like Fuzz. Kudos !

@Robbert: ik had het over die Everman van Sash, die 'm dus ook zelf gebruikte. Het ruisen viel me gewoon op, zeker naast de Big Tone. Nou heeft sash de fuzz wel laag en de level hoog geloof ik, dat zal schelen. Maar dan nog vond ik het wat veel van het goede. Hij houdt wel enorm veel dynamiek vast, erg goed.
Staat trouwens een Overdrive II te koop op Marktplaats hè ?

poeh, favo pedaal... nu denk ik effe m'n gemodificeerde DOD 250 overdrive. Het is eigenlijk geen overdrive meer, maar een raunchy fat-boost, nu er LEDs in zitten voor de clipping. Kan wel zo ontieglijk hard! Ideaal dus om een buizenversterker te vervormen, zonder de toon negatief aan te tasten. De toon word juist vetter en duidelijker.

Mijn eigen brouwsel, de MiG*Boost is hier op gebaseerd. Binnenkort ook in NL te koop! Eerst wereldwijd maar afhandelen! :D (lekker omgekeerd)

p.s. I've got ultra bright purple LEDs now too! They give off UV rays, so now you'll have a legitimate excuse to wear sunglasses 8-) while playing in a dimly lit club. Or you can just soak up some rays while you play and get a sun tan.

Yeah. It has exceeded my expectations. Veeerrryy dynamic :wink: The Timbre and Symmetry trimmers cause interactions that you just cant get with plain toggle switches. You'd probably like it even with the 808 base.

I got the Gem back about an hour ago. Sadly though, the postman beat it up a bit. I saw how much it cost you to ship. That's simply ludacris.

My last ebay auction was a 10 day and only got 300 hits I think. I even spammed it too. So 500 must be really good over there. I didn't even think there were 500 people in NL :lol:

Beide staan vrij hoog. Drive staat helemaal open. De mijne ruist inderdaad vrij erg, weet niet wat dat is want anderen hebben er weinig last van. Mijn maakt het verder weinig uit.

Ik gebruik em tegenwoordig meer als overdrive dan fuzz. Voor de good ol' fuzz sounds heb ik nog steeds die siliconen Crest Fuzz Face.
Ik ben zelf niet echt van de lichte overdrives, vandaar dat ik m'n Red Snapper verkocht had.

Ik hou meer van de crunch die fuzz produceert als je de volumeknop terugdraait.

Ik wil er eigenlijk nog een ZZ Toppish fuzzpedaal. Dat word waarschijnlijk de Soiled Dove van Magic Foot (South Phoenix Dave).

I don't know if your prime minister acts as silly as our president. The truth is that NL politics don't get much media coverage here (they don't get any at all. We all know how McDonalds got sued when a customer dropped a cup of hot coffee on his legs. Or how someone sues a shop, because the pile of cans collapsed.

We do have that here too, but not as large scaled as overseas.

But I think a lot of that have to do with social wellfare. Here we have good (well.. becoming a lot less, thanks to legoman!) social security, and you don't. At least, how many people are un-insured? So the money has to come from somewhere when an accident happens.


I don't know how people react to small car accidents, like a regular bump to the door. But my mummy (:D) went to see a colleque in Spain, and man, they give jack sh*t about cars. No parking space? Just push the other car a little forward. Weird people, I don't think I'd take my car to Madrid!

A couple of months ago my wife was sideswiped by a tractor trailer. It totalled the car. But the worst part is...my wife already has an anxiety disorder, so now it's almost unbarable to drive in the same car as her. Anyways...we didn't sue the hualing company. We didn't have to. Their lawyers practically stuffed a check in my pocket before the tow truck even took our car to the junkyard. As long as they paid for the car and hospital bills I wasn't going to sue, but they wanted to get a settlement before I "lawyered up". They paid for the car and hospital bills. And my wife got some new furniture and I got a new Les Paul Standard.

Anyway, Judge Judy has been broadcast over here. But there's no direct copy of it on Dutch telly. There is, however, a slightly similar programme, with a ver nerdy judge, but he's more of a mediator in that series. They do only one case in each show too.

Mijn fav. pedaal is op dit moment m'n Barber direct drive ss. Ik zocht al tijden een pedaal om het geluid van mijn JTM 45 wat smeriger te maken of om te gebruiken in d ie kleine kroeg optredens.
Uit de rij Boss OD3, Rat 2, TS9, Full Drive, alle menatone drive pedalen (behalve de red snaper, die is errug goed) Dist.pro, maxon 808 vind ik dit pedaal zeer natuurlijk klinken. Een echt aanrader.

G2D Creamtone; wat mij betreft de beste Bluesy-overdrive. Enorm veelzijdig veelzijdig pedaal. Werkt overigens het beste met low-output single coils.
