Fender Princeton 65

Hallo gitaarliefhebbers,

Ik heb een vraag over de Fender Princeton 65. Op het web zie ik verschillende versies rondgaan, voor verschillende prijzen. Tot nu toe heb ik ontdekt dat dit model er als Solid State is en met buizen.
Hoe kan ik deze twee versies uit elkaar halen? Volgens mij worden ze allebei Fender Princeton 65 genoemd...
Ook kwam ik de Fender Princeton 65 DSP tegen. Weet iemand toevallig waar DSP voor staat en wat dit voor versie van de versterker is?

DSP is de afkorting van Digital Signal Processor. En die is zeker niet met buizen ;)

In dat geval zijn er waarschijnlijk ook nog andere versies zonder buizen. Ik kom ze namelijk ook tegen zonder DSP, voor Solid State - prijzen zegmaar.

Ik vond het wel een leuke vraag. Van een engelstalig forum haalde ik dit antwoord:

It's easy to tell from the front, even 25 feet away. The '65 Princeton Reverb RI has 6 knobs, 2 jacks (input 1 and input 2) on the front, and says "Princeton Reverb" in big letters. The ss Princeton 65 has 9 knobs, 4 jacks (a single input on the left, on the right are preamp send, power amp in, and a footswitch jack), and the logo says "Princeton 65". (The ss Princeton 65 DSP has 10 knobs.) The ss P65's also have a white square pushbutton on the front for channel selection.

Somewhat more subtle, the knobs are different (a little smaller on the ss models), and on the ss models the knobs are closer to the bottom edge of the control panel (on the tube models they're centered top-to-bottom).
Looking from the back you don't need to open anything up on either to see the difference. The ss P65's have a single transformer with only the silver rectangular cover sticking out of the rear chassis panel. The tube '65 Princetons have two transformers entirely exposed, hanging down from the bottom of the chassis. And the tube models have tubes hanging down (the preamp tubes are covered by silver cylindrical covers, the power and rectifier tubes are either exposed or covered by a silver metal cage).

Wellicht dat je daar iets aan hebt.
