Lichte reverb feedback in Kasino Club L

In mijn 1974 (solid state) Kasino (Kustom) Club L ijlt in de reverb een lichte feedback na. Als ik de reverbknop terugdraai naar 0 is de reverb direct weg, het feedbackgeluid dooft daarna uit. Het circuit is nog geheel origineel. Ik heb de aarding gecontroleerd en die lijkt mij in orde. Ook alle RCA-connectoren zijn grondig gereinigd. Wat zou ik hieraan kunnen doen?

Tijd voor een scope om te traceren of het wel uit je reverb komt.

Kijk of de tank niet te strak aangedraaid is , en/of de rubbers ertussen nog een beetje "vers" zijn. Te strak op de kast aangedraaide reverbtanks willen nog wel eens te snel "feedbacken"als je de reverb te hoog en/of je volume te hoog zet.

Ik heb mijn vraag ook op het Vintage Kustom Forum gezet. Daar kreeg ik het onderstaande antwoord. Na de raad te hebben opgevolgd is de feedback verdwenen. Bedankt voor de reacties.

Hi, this happens a lot from age, or at least that is they way it seemed when I last fixed a reverb pan that was doing this.
Here`s what to try.

Slip the pan out of the bag and have the pan rolled over so the springs are facing up at you.

At each end of the pan you will see a small transfomer with the wires going into it from the RCA jack.

From day one these move around on the iron core they are set onto, and with age there fit becomes worse and they rock around on the core a lot.

The repair is to get some super glue and dribble it down in between the iron core and the nylon wire bobbin and this will lock the Transformer to the core, and this also improves the sound of the reverb by not having it be so muddy.

One other thing you might pick up from a hobby or craft shop is some fast setting spray for the super glue, as I find that on transfomers that rock a lot the glue runs out the other side somewhat before it has time to set.

The spray will let you get some in and then lock it on the core.
You do not need to ling all 4 sides of the core with glue as just one side will do perfect!

Welnu, ik dacht dat het goed ging. Direct na het aanbrengen van de lijm was de fluittoon weg en de reverb klonk goed. Twee uur later, toen ik het nog eens probeerde, geen reverb meer. Ik denk dat ik aan de inputkant iets heb vast gelijmd dat los dient te zitten. Als ik de tank aantik klinkt er wel een flinke reverb door de speakers. De tank laat zich niet meer door het gitaarsignaal aansturen. You win some, you loose some.

Ok, de Kasino weer eens tevoorschijn gehaald en direct aan de scope gehangen. Meteen naar de opamp gegaan die de reverb en tremolo aanstuurt en inderdaad op output A1 geen signaal meer. Gelukkig is de MC1458 nog volop verkrijgbaar. Gelijk maar een voetje geplaats. Reverb doet 't weer.
