Hi everybody!
Posted this in the classifieds section, why not here also!
I`m a male, 22 year-old guitar player from Estonia. I arrived just a month ago and am looking for a band to play in.
I have been playing for 9 years. I have studio and live experience. I`ve played in several bands (punk, pop-rock, indie, metal, classical). Having studied music for 7 years, I have pretty ok knowledge of music theory (keys, time signatures, harmony, reading sheet). I`ve sung in choirs for years also, so I could try some backvocals if needed. I enjoy different kinds of music: some metal bands like Textures, Sikth, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Despised Icon, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Deftones, Horse the Band, The Fall of Troy, Meshuggah. Pop/rock like Vaiko Eplik, The Beach Boys, The Police, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Jackson, Indie/alternative bands like Ulver, Mew, Radiohead, Muse, Dredg, Galaktlan, Fleet Foxes, Interpol, Björk, Sigur Ros, Facing New York. Progressive/fusion/experimental rock like Shining (Norwegian), Yes, Mess, Genesis, Jaga Jazzist, Camel, The Mars Volta, Gentle Giant, Focus, Return to Forever. Electronic music is ok with me also: Galaktlan, Röyksopp, Aphex Twin, Justice.
But all in all, genres are not that big of a deal to me - good, passionate music is what it`s all about, I`m open to all offers.
I am more of a rhythm guitar player, but in case of need am willing to work very hard on my lead guitar skills. Improvisational skills are at a begginer level, but I`m working on that also. I am very interested in offering my help to composing and arranging the music.
music composed mainly (about 90 percent) by me:

some live videos of me performing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwuM0Im1zk (front left)
I have an instrument but had to leave my amplifier and pedals at home in Estonia so I would need an amp available at your practice space.
Feel free to ask me anything! Hoping to hear from you soon.
Karl
