GCX en andere footcontroller

zijn er mensen die dit doen, en met welke controller dan? hoe programmeer je de GCX dan? (hoe wordt de gcx uberhaupt geprogrammeerd?)

Ik gebruik de GCX in combinatie met de ground control van voodoolabs.

De GCX zelf kan je niet programmeren. Je bestuurt de GCX met een footcontroler en afhankelijk van wat je footcontroler kan bepaal je wat je GCX moet gaan doen.

Ik gebruik ook de Ground Control Pro en vind het een super ding.

Ik gebruik de GCX met een Rocktron All Access. Werkt prima. Waar je op moet letten, is dat de GCX alleen op een bepaald midi-kanaal (ik geloof 15?) werkt, en alleen met vaste control changes. Je moet dus een controller hebben die control changes uit kan sturen.

nou, oke...
ik heb dus de t-rex big foot controller, en haal uit de gebruiksaanwijzing niet of dat gaat werken.
als je een preset selecteert, moet de controller dus bij die preset ook aangeven via cc's welke loop in de gcx aan/uit moet, toch? dit betekent dat je 8 cc's mee moet kunnen zenden met de preset als ik het goed begrijp.... en dat haal ik niet uit de gebruiksaanwijzing van de big foot.

volgens mij kan de big foot dat ook niet....heb laatst via de zoekfunctie iets erover gelezen ergens meen ik....

Using the GCX without a Ground Control

Warning: The PEDAL IN jack on the GCX is not a standard MIDI In. It utilizes the two normally unused pins to provide 9 volts A.C. power for the Ground Control. Before connecting to a device other than the Ground Control, you must either use a cable without pins 1 and 3 wired, or verify that the MIDI Out of that device conforms to the MIDI specification which states that pins 1 and 3 are unconnected. Failure to do so can result in severe damage to your equipment. If you have any questions about this, please contact Digital Music Corporation's customer service department.

It is possible to control the GCX from other devices like MIDI sequencers, some MIDI footpedals, or any device capable of transmitting MIDI Control Change messages.
The GCX responds to MIDI Control Change messages sent on channel 16 only. A data value of 0 turns the loop off, a data value of 127 turns the loop on.

Controller numbers are as follows:
Audio Loop or Latched Switch
Loop #1 = controller #80
Loop #2 = controller #81
Loop #3 = controller #82
Loop #4 = controller #83
Loop #5 = controller #84

deze manual heb ik ook gelezen... ;-)
uit dit stukje blijkt volgens mij ook wat ik zeg; om je loops in een preset "mee" te schakelen moet je met de preset dus 8 cc's kunnen meezenden, toch? als ik het goed lees???
en dat kan de big foot dus niet volgens mij, althans ik kan het niet vinden in de manual.
